The Undoing
Layer by layer we strip back every single thing that has us confused. We strip so profoundly that the brass tacks become not only visible, but they too start to pull apart from the structure. We strip the bones until all that is left is gravity - and then we come to know the sensation of truth.
It just barely holds, and then there is what’s left:
That, is you…
It is what we do this all for. To meet the one inside who must be let out. Known.
To look them in the eyes. To breathe them.
The great prison-break.
The walk of shadow.
The depth in the sorrow of our own tears.
The intimacy of naked revelation. Repentance.
The whispers of deepest self.
The process of purification under the force of earth’s crust.
Adapting to the weight of water.
Opening to its unrelenting pressure.
Sleeping well at the bottom.
The being-ness of “alive”.
It is holy. It is sacred.
